eStatements Sign-up Instructions & Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to eStatements!. Please take a few moments to browse through the following page to learn how to get started with and to answer any questions you may have about eStatements.
(1) How do I sign-up for eStatements?
The following images will help guide you through the process of signing-up for eStatements.
Step 1
Log into your Online Banking account via smcu.com using your Member Number and Password.
Step 2
Once you've entered Online Banking, select the 'eStatements' tab across the top, located under 'Account Access'.
Step 3
Enter and confirm your preferred E-mail address and select 'Agree'.
Note: The E-mail address you enter here is where you will receive your monthly notifications.
Step 4
You are now enrolled in eStatements and will be able to view your current and archived statements directly through your Online Banking account.
(2) Will I still receive regular paper statements if I sign-up for eStatements?
No. You will not receive both electronic and paper statements in the same month. When you sign up for eStatements, you are in effect opting out of receiving traditional paper statements and you will not receive paper statements again until you change your delivery preference.
(3) How do I change my statement delivery method back to paper?
In order to change your statement delivery method back to paper once you have opted-in to receiving eStatements, you must stop by one of SMCU's eight branch locations or call our contact center at 206.398.5500 or 800.334.2489 if you live outside the Seattle area.
(4) How will I know when my eStatements are ready?
You will receive a monthly email (to the E-mail address provided at sign up) stating that your eStatement is ready for viewing. No actual sensitive information will be sent via email, just a link to access your account. Your eStatement will be posted and this email usually sent on or around the second (2nd) business day of the month.
(5) How long will I be able to view my statements once they're posted online?
Your last 13 months of statement information will be archived and stored for you to view at anytime. These archived statements will begin with your September 2007 statement.
