With SMCU's Online Banking you can access your SMCU accounts from the comfort of your home, or from anywhere you have a computer and Internet access. Online Banking is a safe and convenient way to do your banking online 24 hours a day.
First Time Users
The first time you log into Online Banking you will use your member number and a default password. Your default password is either the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number or your Tellerline PIN if you halve already logged into the Tellerline Telephone Banking system.
Enhanced Login Security
Enhanced Login Security is now mandatory for all Online Banking users as of December 28th, 2006. It has been set forth as a best practice by Federal regulatory guidelines as a way to further protect you from identity theft. Enhanced Login Security is a free and easy way to help prevent fraud. It identifies you as the true “owner” of your accounts by not only identifying you through your Username and Password, but by recognizing your computer as well. All you have to do is select and answer three security questions to which only you know the answers. If anyone tries to log into your account from a computer that you have not approved, they will be asked to provide your member number, password, AND the answers to these security questions.
