Use SMCU From Anywhere

From Belltown to Beijing, your SMCU accounts are never far away.

Living life on the go can be hectic. You don’t always have time to drop the kids at school, meet with clients, go to the grocery store AND get to the credit union. SMCU understands, so we make it easy to access your accounts wherever you are.

SMCU members enjoy a suite of convenience services at least as good as you’d get from any national bank. Services such as:

ATM access

If you can’t get to a branch to access your SMCU accounts, you can use one of nearly 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs across the country that are part of the CO-OP ATM Network. Many ATMs accept deposits to your SMCU accounts, so you don’t have to carry cash or checks around until you can get to the CU.

You can also make deposits into your SMCU accounts at any participating 7-Eleven location using the CO-OP Shared Branch network self-serve financial kiosks. Look for the CO-OP Shared Branch network logo on the kiosk , so you'll know you're in the right place.

Shared Branching

SMCU and credit unions across the country are cooperating to provide our members access to more than 5,000 CO-OP Shared Branch locations. Stop into a Shared Branch office and conduct transactions on your SMCU account just as if you were standing in the lobby of one of our Seattle branches. The service is free. All you have to do is find a participating credit union near you by clicking the link below.

No matter where you are, a helpful, friendly SMCU Member Services Representative is just a call away. They can help you with everything from making a loan payment to checking the available balance on your SMCU VISA™.

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday - 8am to 6pm

Online Banking

The heart of your 24-hour virtual banking experience is Online Banking. SMCU’s Online Banking is intuitive and full-featured with the robust security and convenience you’d expect from any big bank. Access your accounts from anywhere you can get online. We are always working to make it faster and easier to use.

Mobile Web Banking

SMCU’s Free Mobile Web Banking provides maximum account access via a fast, phone-friendly microsite. All you need is a mobile device with a Web browser and you’re good to go. With SMCU Mobile Web Banking you will be able to:

  • Pay bills (if you have enrolled in our free Bill Pay service)
  • Transfer funds between SMCU accounts
  • View account balances and transaction history

VISA™ Debit and Credit Cards

VISA Debit and Credit Cards are accepted across the U.S. and around the world allowing you to access your checking account or credit line everywhere VISA is accepted.

Text Message Banking

SMCU’s Text Message Banking is a free, simple, secure and fast way to check your balance or review transactions on the go.

  • View account balances, set low balance alerts, review transactions and even perform quick transfers with a simple text.
  • It works on any phone that can send and receive text messages
  • No data plan is required.
  • Signing up is quick and easy.

To get started, log-in to your account via Online Banking and select 'Mobile Text and Alerts' under 'Account Access'. Once you've complete the on-screen activation instructions, you can use simple commands to monitor your accounts via text.

After signing up for the service, send a text message to the number: 454545. For example,

  • BAL - Get current and available balances for a primary account you designate.
  • LAST - See the last five transactions to your primary account.
  • BAL ALL - View current balances for all your SMCU accounts.

Telephone Banking

Your touch-tone phone is your key to access information about your account any time of the day or night. Check on account balances or checks that have cleared, make loan payments or transfer funds, all at no cost to you. Call 206.398.5500 or 800.334.2489.
